The very first Integral Child Center in Schouwen-Duiveland opened its doors in a festive manner on Monday 3 February. Kibeo Hoge Molenstraat and RKBS St. Willibrordus now together form IKC St. Willibrordus in Zierikzee.
What is an ICC?
An Integral Child Center (IKC) is a facility for children from 0 to 12 years old, where they learn, play, develop and meet under one roof. Here the whole team works from one vision. For the children, this means that there is a smooth transition between childcare and education, that there is a wide range and that employees know each other and make mutual agreements. The development of the children is followed continuously at an IKC, in this way we know what the talents of the children are and where children may deserve extra attention. Collaboration with the parents is paramount within an IKC.
