Read, listen and discover together during the National Reading Days

"Hey, I have big news! Would you like to listen to my story?"
Little Monkey had experienced something and was incredibly excited. He jumped on his scooter and set off. Because this news had to be told!

Together with the children, we listened to what Little Monkey had to say. We talked, discovered, and experienced the story together. And did you know we had a visit from real reading heroes? Even the mayor came by, wearing his chain of office! But it wasn't just reading and listening. We also did all sorts of activities, like an outdoor monkey course. Just like Little Monkey, we hopped on our scooters and went around the course.

High-profile visit from various reading heroes

We had some special visitors at several locations, which made National Reading Days extra special. Mayor Jack van der Hoek read from Kibeo De Klimop in Dreischor, and Mayor Boy Scholtze visited Kindcentrum Jij in Terheijden as a reading hero. Both mayors read from Kleine Aap (Little Monkey), the picture book of the year and number 1 in the Picture Book Top 10.

At the other locations, other reading heroes showed up. Grandparents came by to read, as did colleagues from the Kibeo service office and label directors. These were, of course, also very special moments.

A language-rich start with attention for every child

Research shows that a solid language foundation at a young age is crucial for a child's further development, both cognitively and socially.
