Friday, June 28 is National Mud Day. But with Kibeo and Wiedewei, one day of mud fun is not enough. That's why they extended this muddy day into a whole 'mud week'. The children had extra fun this week and learned a lot. But in addition to being fun and educational, playing in the mud has even more advantages.
Discover nature and explore in a playful way
At the Kibeo and Wiedewei locations they believe it is important that children learn through play and explore outside. From slipping and splashing in the mud to mud paintings and making mud soup. During the mud week, which lasts from Monday 24 to Friday 28 June, the children at Kibeo and Wiedewei do as many activities as possible that have to do with mud. In this way they discover nature and explore through play.
Playing in the mud improves the immune system in children
Playing in the mud has many advantages. The children are of course outside during the mud activities. That is healthy, because it ensures the production of vitamin D, not to mention exercise, which promotes a healthy lifestyle. Yet another advantage is that playing in the mud contributes positively to children's resistance and thus ensures a better immune system.
Stimulate motor development and creativity with mud activities
During the mud activities, children are busy with different shapes and structures. This is good for motor development. At the same time, they immerse themselves completely in their own imagination while playing in the mud. They come up with activities and games themselves with their own rules. Which is extremely good for their creativity and imagination. In short, a fun, educational and, above all, blubbery week!
