The BSO even more fun, educational and challenging! Childcare organization Kibeo has recently started working with workshop specialists at the BSO. These are professionals with a specialism in cultural and artistic education, such as technology, dance, drama and music. By giving workshops at the BSO, they introduce children aged 4 to 12 to their own passion.

From making your own paper to hula hoops, a diverse range of workshops for BSO children

Children learn a lot from these workshops. For example, they learn about the environment and sustainability from the nature specialist in a fun way, by making their own paper with moss and weeds. And how about going crazy during the hula hoop workshop? The children learn crazy dance moves with the hula hoop from hula hoop specialist Eva Slierendrecht. Because you really don't just do hula hoops with your hips! In addition to these 2 workshop specialists, Kibeo also works with professionals in the field of technology, creativity and art.

The professionals give the workshops based on their own passion for a field or specialism. This means that they have a lot of knowledge and experience in this area. This allows the children to immerse themselves even more in the various specialisms. In addition, the professionals have access to materials that Kibeo does not have as standard.

Try out different activities in 1 place: the BSO

During the workshops, children are introduced to new activities. This way they discover what they like to do and what they are good at. Without parents having to register their child with different associations to try something out. Not only great fun for the children, but also pleasant for their parents! In addition, the children are stimulated in their development and they learn new skills.

Children radiate self-confidence and learn to think solution-oriented

Learning new things helps children gain confidence. They learn to come up with new ideas and solutions. They are also spontaneous during the activities and make conscious and unconscious choices. Is something not working? Then they usually come up with a solution for this themselves, because they are already busy making choices. In short, the workshops are fun and educational for children and at the same time a pleasant way to get acquainted with new activities. In the meantime they learn a lot of new skills.

“The children are very excited. When I arrive at the site, they already run up to me to ask what we are going to do,” says one of the workshop specialists at Kibeo.
