Because the municipality of Goeree-Overflakkee attaches great importance to good support and guidance in the development of young children, Kibeo and the municipality are joining forces. Municipality Goeree-Overflakkee is launching a campaign with the help of Kibeo on September 7 to pay more attention to toddler care.
The kick-off of the campaign “Preparing your child for primary school in a playful way” took place on September 7. Each childcare location at Goeree-Overflakkee has received flyers, leaflets and posters to make parents aware of the importance of toddler care. In addition, attention is also paid to toddler care in various regional media.
The campaign was created after Kibeo's research. Prior to this campaign, Kibeo investigated why parents with toddlers do not choose childcare. They did this in collaboration with other parties involved, including the municipality of Goeree-Overflakkee and various childcare organizations. Parents with toddlers in municipality Goeree-Overflakkee indicate that there is limited information available about toddler care. In addition, parents find the benefits system complex and do not always see the usefulness of toddler care. Reason enough not to choose toddler care, according to the research.
