Compliments to colleagues
The nomination is part of the Zeeland Business Awards, where employers who care about their people and work culture are recognized. For Brand, the nomination feels primarily like a compliment to all the pedagogical professionals: "They dedicate themselves daily to the children in the group with great love. Their involvement and commitment form the foundation of who Kibeo is as an organization."
Realistic about challenges
At the same time, Kibeo is realistic. The nomination comes at a time when the labor market is under pressure and staff shortages are also noticeable within the organization. This demands a great deal of flexibility and dedication from colleagues. "Especially during this period, we rely heavily on the agility of our colleagues," explains Brand. "We see the fact that employees nominate us as a sign of trust. We don't take that for granted."
Keep building
The award ceremony will be held on February 26, 2026. Other nominees include ZLM Insurance and Syndus Group. Whether Kibeo ultimately wins the award isn't the most important thing for Brand: "This nomination feels like encouragement to continue building together, to keep developing, and to keep investing in our people. Good employment is never finished."
