After more than two years of preparations, the moment had finally arrived for the employees of Kibeo. On Thursday, June 6, the construction of the new and sustainable service office officially and festively commenced. Under the watchful eye of a group of enthusiastic employees who will move into the new building in the second quarter of 2025, (future) neighbors, and collaboration partners, the foundation was laid.

After the inspiring words of Marcel de Bruijne, Operations Manager Kibeo, and Lennard van Oeveren, owner Pebbles GroupThen it was time for the official opening ceremony. Marcel de Bruijne gave the official start signal for the construction and laid the foundation by excavating part of the ground. With this, the 200 highly qualified specialist employees of the Kibeo Service Office can look forward to a new workplace in mid-2025.

More efficient collaboration and better support for professionals in the group

Currently, the service office staff work spread across multiple offices in and around Stationspark at Goes. This is a situation that is not entirely ideal. Therefore, the search for a new office building began two years ago. Both new construction and existing buildings were among the possibilities. Marcel de Bruijne explains: “We made careful choices in the search for suitable business premises. The goal was to create a service office where all our colleagues can work together under one roof. This ensures more efficient collaboration, enabling them to support the pedagogical professionals at the branches even better in their important task: guiding and supporting children in their development regarding language and physical, social, and personal skills.”

Kibeo did not find these requirements reflected in the existing building. Therefore, it was decided to proceed with new construction in Goes. The highly educated employees of Kibeo do not have to move far: the new office building is located at Stationspark 5 in Goes. De Bruijne: “I think we can be proud of the fact that we are investing in our future and that of employment in Goes. The recent news regarding the departure of De Roompot makes it clear once again that we must continue to put Zeeland on the map as an attractive place to live and work. As the entrepreneurial heart of Zeeland, the central location of Goes offers an excellent base for our service office.”

Sustainability is central to the new service office

Sustainability was central to every choice made during the development of the new service office. And this will soon be reflected in the new Kibeo service office. That is why a collaboration was chosen with RoosRos Architects who are known for designing educational and sustainable buildings in the Netherlands. The new service office, which has five floors, is gas-free, features an automatically controlled indoor climate, and electric charging points for cars and bicycles. In addition, the maximum number of solar panels is being installed so that the service office becomes as self-sufficient as possible. All of this contributes to an optimal working environment. During the construction, there are also Fraanje Construction Company BV, Pebbles Groep bv, ITN group and WijsMan Construction and Real Estate Management closely involved.

Kibeo views this step as an important investment in the future of the organization and as an opportunity to create a pleasant workplace for its employees.
