Language is the foundation for lifelong learning. It is precisely in the first years of life that an important foundation for this is laid. That is why Kibeo was the first childcare organization in the Netherlands to develop its own language program: Taalrijk. With this program, we work purposefully on children's language development every day.
Now we are taking the next step. Together with Ruben Fukkink, Professor of Pedagogy at the University of Applied Sciences of Amsterdam and Professor by Special Appointment at the University of Amsterdam, we are investigating the effects of Taalrijk on child development as well as on the quality of childcare.
This has not gone unnoticed. In addition to a visit from Omroep Zeeland, attention was also paid to Taalrijk and the research on NPO Radio 1. A wonderful confirmation of the societal relevance of Taalrijk and of the important role that childcare plays in the development of young children.
