This out-of-school care is set up to supervise children aged 4 to 12 with additional care needs. Kibeo works together with Juvent for this. Children who come to after-school care sometimes need extra care and attention because they have behavioral problems, social-emotional problems or an intellectual disability. For example, they find it difficult to establish or maintain contact with children or to express what concerns them or what they feel.

What is the goal?
The BSO with extra support is aimed at spending free time in a fun, structured and meaningful way and increasing social-emotional skills. This low-threshold form of guidance means that your child receives extra care at an early stage, which means that more serious problems and more intensive forms of help can often be prevented.
How does it work?
There are a pedagogical employee from Kibeo and Juvent in the group. They receive support from a behavior expert from Juvent. The groups are smaller than regular BSO groups; a maximum of 12 children can go. In addition to a group-oriented approach, there is plenty of attention for one-on-one guidance. There is close cooperation between the school, parents and the BSO.
Fun
There are fun activities every day. The day is predictable, which makes your child feel safe in this environment. In addition, the space is quietly decorated and there are fixed play areas.

The focus is on emphasizing your child's good qualities. A positive approach encourages your son or daughter to show positive behavior. Your child can also follow social and emotional skills training in groups.
Who is the BSO with extra support for?
The BSO is there for all children who need a helping hand, not just for children from De Tweern or De Meie. The costs are the same as for the regular BSO. In many cases, parents can get the costs reimbursed if they have an indication from the CIZ. Or you may be able to apply for a contribution towards the costs of after-school care via the tax authorities in the context of the Childcare Act. Do you think your child will do better in after-school care with extra support than in a regular group? Register your child at Kibeo's Customer Relations department. You will receive an invitation for an interest meeting with our pedagogical staff. If this shows that your child belongs in this group, the financing will be arranged and it will be discussed whether you are eligible for an indication. We are happy to help you with the application for this indication.
